This article is telling us about Wikiphobia. It talks about how it is not accurate and can not be used as a source. Neil Waters talks about how it should not be used by students in college to cite a source. Anyone could write on it true or not so your really not getting the right information all the time on this site. Neil waters was a professor at Middlebury in the history program. The students are responsible for their sites and if they are accurate or not.
The is author argued his point well by passing the law that Wikiphobia could not be used by college students. I think he was right to pass this law because this site should not be used for anything because anyone can get on the site and change the information to something that is not true at all. i do not think the author left anything out of this I understand this article great. He gave me facts about this site and it can be false.
I agree with the author on this article. I think we should have never been able to use this site for anything. I think we should be responsible for anything we do not even out side of school work. I have never tried to change anything on the site but im sure if i try i could.
"Further, thousands of high school teachers as well as college professors who try mightily to induce a measure of critical thinking in their students' approach to sources for research grow quietly furious because the very ubiquity of wikiphobia tempts people to use it in lieu of other, more reliable sources of information. I think this quote because this is true. People are tempted to use this site because it is easy to find and if people do not know this is a untrue site people think they are doing good. Till they get there paper back and get a back grade on in they dont know why. I think we need to know about this site and that we use never use it.
